What A Pro

Quinn had a doctor appointment today. It was her 4-year checkup, as well as her physical to be able to go to kindergarten in the fall. I figured it was going to be an easy one - height, weight, ears, eyes. Easy. I was a little surprised when the doc told me that she needed three shots.

Now, you should know that daddy does NOT do well with needles. Shots I can barely tolerate. Blood from an arm? You might as well just do it with me laying down, because that's how I'm going to end up anyway. Quinn seemed almost excited at first that she had to get three "shocks," as she called them.

Well her eager anticipation quickly changed to "slightly nervous" when they borought the needles in and had her take her shirt off. I just told her to look away. The first two, she barely flinched. The third - the tetanus - made her cry, but not for long. She took them like a real pro. Much braver than her dad.

Made me proud.
