My Work for SQPN
Over a year ago, I started listen to a podcast produced by a Catholic priest from the Netherlands. The show is called The Daily Breakfast, and it covers topics ranging from world news, to TV & movies, to video games. It also includes segments such as “The Peculiar Bunch,” in which you find out, “everything you always wanted to know about Catholics, but were afraid to ask.” The show is not overly religious, but the host does often connect themes in the stories he’s covering to Christian themes.
Well, in a little over a year’s time, what started as a single priest podcasting from the Netherlands, has grown into a multi-national corporation – SQPN – that now has over 20 podcasts and several video podcasts. When they first started talking about getting into video production and how they wanted it to look as professional as possible, I emailed Fr. Roderick and Greg & Jennifer of The Rosary Army (the CEO, COO and CFO of SQPN) and told them that if they ever needed some animation work done, I would be happy to help. I’m always looking to get involved in projects that allow me a little more creative freedom then what I’m able to do at the television station I work at, which is very formatted. I’m also drawn to doing work for charitable organizations that have meaning to me, which is why I also got involved with the JDRF and produced a couple of videos for them.
In any case, their flagship video podcast – That Catholic Show – is extremely well produced and is getting great reviews on iTunes and YouTube. They just released their 2nd episode and together, the first two shows have been been viewed almost 10,000 time on YouTube alone. I created the show open, as well as the two closing animations. I’m not trying to push my religion on anyone here – I’m just proud of the work we’ve done. If it’s something that interests you…, check it out.

Nice work. I’ll take a look at that sometime.
